  • 6th/7th Beach Parties, 8th Grade Party

    Sixth and Seventh-grade Beach Party
    T-street beach in San Clemente
    Tuesday, June 10 from 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

    Details:

    ·
    School buses will take the kids from school to the beach at 11:45 a.m. · Parents will need to pick their kids up at 3 p.m. at T-Street Beach off Esplanade just south of the pier in San Clemente. (see directions below) Parents may begin picking up as early as 2:30, but they need to sign out their students with either Mrs. Clarke or Mr. Dailey. If you plan on remaining at the beach as a family, please make sure you still sign your student out so that we know you have taken responsibility for them.
    Directions for pick-up:
    · -from school, take the five South and exit Palizada. · -turn right at the end of the exit ramp and then turn left on El Camino Real at the second light. · -take El Camino Real South, and turn right on Esplanade (just after light at Barcelona) a few blocks south of Del Mar. · -follow this street until it dead ends at the railroad overpass where we will be signing kids out.
    What to bring:
    · Kids will need to bring beach towels, sunscreen, boogie boards or whatever else they may want while at the beach. Please do not allow them to bring skim boards or surf boards, it will be too crowded and allow for too many injuries. · A sack lunch, drinks and dessert will be provided while at the beach, as well as some beach games. The San Clemente city lifeguards will be staffing the area accordingly to account for the safety of all of our students.

    Eighth-grade class party at Knott’s Berry Farm
    Tuesday, June 10 from 12:30 pm - 9:45 pm

    Transportation:
    · School buses will take the kids to the themepark directly from school at 11:45 a.m. · We will be leaving the themepark at 9:00pm – all students will ride back on the bus. · Parents will need to pick their kids up at 9:45 pm in front of Highland hall. · This trip is chaperoned by St. Margaret’s teachers and two additional parent chaperones.

    Details:
    · Kids should be prepared for an afternoon on the rides, then a dinner and casual dance at the Wilderness Dance Hall in Knott’s Berry Farm. They should bring money for lunch that day. All other park fees were paid for in the student activities fee last summer. Please direct all questions to Amanda Hudson ext 345

    · Please encourage your child to keep items which they can re-use next year

    Textbooks- can be donated to the school to be used to create class sets of books or can be brought home to be given to friends or siblings for use next year. · We will provide the students with one shopping bag but you should send additional bags to bring home items from the lockers

  • Final Exam Information for 8th Graders

    If you are in Conceptual Physics...
    ... you will take your final exam with the Upper School on Thursday, June 6 from 9:00 - 11:30 in Room US 708. It is very important that you speak with your
    E Block and F Block Teachers and your Advisors letting them know that you will be taking your CP Exam during E Block, F Block and Chapel. If you are in French, Chinese, Latin or Japanese...
    ... you will be taking your final exam in Room 41 or 42 just as you did at the semester. This exam will be during Middle School E Block time (Monday, June 9 from 9:50 - 11:20). If you do need the full 2.5 hours, you will just work through the locker clean-out time.
