FacultyLower School/Elementary Reading Specialist: St. Margaret’s seeks to hire a Lower School (Grades K-5) Reading Specialist for the fall of 2013-14. The Specialist will report directly to the Lower School Principal and will work in concert with the School’s Learning Center to ensure a comprehensive reading support program for our K – 5 students. The qualified applicant will have a Clear California Teaching Credential, a Reading Specialist Credential and/or Reading Certificate is preferred as is 2 years’ experience in specialized reading instruction. Exceptional organizational skill is required as this position plans and supports 18 divisional teachers. Also required is the ability to learn multiple assessment tools, implement them and share results with teachers. A genuine love for teaching children and excellent communication skills are essential as the Specialist supports students, teachers, parents and coordinates this program with the Learning Center of the School.

Associate for External Admission Operations: St. Margaret’s Episcopal School has an immediate opening for an Associate for External Operations in its Office of Admission. Reporting directly to the Director of Admission, the Associate is a vital member of the highly motivated and dedicated Office of Admission. The Associate for External Operations will provide support in all areas of office management, working closely with the Director of Admission and all departments to ensure good communication flow and coordination of admission activities from inquiry through to enrollment. This person represents the warm welcome of the Admission Office and St. Margaret’s.
The qualified applicant must be a high school graduate, but a Bachelor’s degree is preferred with a minimum of two years’ experience in an educational organization at the Executive or Administrative Assistant level.
Exceptional interpersonal are essential, as this person is the “first face” of the school to families interested in joining our community. The ability to graciously support these families as well as colleagues in often high stress situations is critical. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also required, as are proven computer skills, specifically word processing and data base management. The ability to multi-task with time sensitive deadlines in an atmosphere that is dynamic and challenging is essential.

Payroll & Benefits Coordinator: St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano, CA, seeks to hire a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator. As an important member of the Business Office team, the Coordinator works with the Accounting Manager to ensure the smooth, efficient management of all aspects of payroll and works closely with the Director of HR in the coordination of the schools benefits programs. The qualified applicant will have at least two years’ experience in payroll working with ADP Payroll software and be familiar with benefit processing. The ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports is required, as is the ability to respond to common inquiries from employees and administrators within the school community. Basic math skills are required as well, as is competency in working with excel spreadsheets and accounting software. Advancement Services Manager: St. Margaret’s Episcopal School has an immediate opening for the position of Advancement Services Manager. The Manager is directly responsible for the comprehensive management of the donor relation database (Raiser’s Edge), including gift processing and acknowledgements; the coordination of day-to-day prospecting operations, specifically oversight of prospect management, reporting and data analysis.
The qualified applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in the data management of fund raising. Five years’ related professional experience working with multiple priorities, exceptional interpersonal, communications and planning skills, as well as a proven ability to see the “big picture” while attending to details, are essential skills. Knowledge of basic accounting, IRS and CASE regulations for gift acceptance is preferred. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or similar donor management software/relational database is highly desired. Strong preference will be given to applicants with prospect management and advancement experience.

Part Time Infant-Toddler Teaching Assistant: St. Margaret’s values the care of young children and is seeking to hire a caring, responsive Teaching Assistant for its expanding infant/toddler center that serves the faculty and staff of the School. Qualified candidates will have the core 12 ECE units, 3 Infant/Toddler units, First Aid & CPR Certification and be able to work effectively with parents and co-workers. One year’s experience working in a licensed Infant/Toddler center is preferred. This is a part-time position –12:00-3:00 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday.
